SSN: The sub sample number (SSN)is the individual fish number for a specific sampling event

Stn name: The station name is the MERMAN station disctionary name of the specific location of the sampling event

MERMAN: The Marine Environment Monitoring and Assessment National database (MERMAN) region code the sampling location is in (https://www.bodc.ac.uk/projects/data_management/uk/merman/project_specific/)

CP2.Region: The charting progress (CP) 2 region the sampling location is in (http://marine.gov.scot/information/charting-progress-regions)

MSFD.Sub: The Marine Strategy Framework Directive (MSFD) sub-region the sampling location is in (http://marine.gov.scot/information/marine-strategy-framework-directive-m...)

Sampling Date: The sampling date in the format DD/MM/YYYY

Species: The latin name of the species of fish sampled

Sex: The sex of fish sampled where F = female; M = male; 0 = not known

Length: The length of the fish sampled recorded in cm

WgtTot: The weight of the whole fish recorded in grams to the nearest whole number

Acanth: Presence (1) or absence (0) of Ancanthochondria

Acanth1: Presence (1) or absence (0) of Ancanthochondria severity 1

Acanth2: Presence (1) or absence (0) of Ancanthochondria severity 2
