Outer Hebrides Bathymetry Package

Bathymetric survey data for several areas around the Outer Hebrides. The original bathymetry is used to derive new products. The data are made available as ESRI layer packages and as Google Earth formats. Due to the size of the datasets they have been made available as 4 separate packages.

Data Dictionary

Bathymetric surveys from areas around the Outer Hebrides have been carried out by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) as part of the UK Civil Hydrography Programme. This bathymetric data has been converted and processed by Marine Scotland using ArcGIS to derive a number of products to assist in the progression of a number of Scottish Government policies. UKHO CHP bathymetry ArcGrid converted to raster. ESRI ArcGIS Spatial analyst tools are used to created additional products (Hillshade, aspect, slope and rugosity). These layers are combined into ESRI layer packages and also converted to KML format for use in Google Earth.
